IMG Game Poll Scores
Scores are averaged using the six categories in the game poll. The overall score is weighted 50 percent while graphics, sound, speed, interface, and playability count for 10 percent each for a total of 100 percent. The following ratings have a minimum of 5 respondents.
MYST: MYST features an excellent sound system! The game moves very fast and has excellent graphics. The storyline is unique (there are no instructions for the game, you just fall into the world), and you simply are put into an alternate world and must figure out what you are doing there. The game is truly another world. Brian M. Amira - Reno, Nevada
Off all the CD ROM games for the Mac, MYST is simply the most enjoyable. It’s combination of rich graphics, eerie music and sound effects, engrossing plot and most importantly, fast game speed, make this a hit. A must for CD ROM drive owners. Wan Chun Hung - Santa Barbara, California
Pathways Into Darkness: Pathways latched onto me like a two ton oyster and wouldn’t let go. If Jason Jones follows on the expectations raised in his interview regarding future projects, I don’t think 5 will be high enough on the rating scale. Draeger Martinez - Sacramento, California
Chuck Yeager’s Air Combat: CYAC is not as clean and simple as Hellcats (with which all Macintosh flight simulators will be compared, yes?)... as an overall product Hellcats is simpler, easier to get into. What CYAC has over Hellcats is playability, the different planes, and the many different missions score much higher than Hellcats. Robert D. Novo - New York, New York
Crystal Crazy: This is a really good game. Challenging with some good surprises, most likely you won’t get bored of this one. Bradford Chase - Newton, Mass.
